Just like the rest of America, I too went and saw the Hunger Games this weekend. I new that from the moment I heard they were making a movie out of the book I wanted to make a recipe from it. But I just couldn’t decide what to make. There is so much food portrayed in the book and the film, the choice was hard. I was stumped until I saw Katniss’ big moment on the screen where she shoots the apple out of the pigs mouth, earning her an 11. This is where the inspiration for Plum Candy Apples was born. I know, I know, but before the baking world judges me the recipe includes some frosting from scratch. So without further interruption enjoy this recipe for a little bite of Reese’s in cupcake form.

When I’m not in the mood to bake or cook (which isn’t often) I turn to the tube to get my foodie fix. I’ve limited the list to food shows that are currently running or are about to start a new season because there’s just too many to choose from if I don’t. Ace of Cakes is out of the running even though it’s one of my favorites and Martha, I hate to say it, but your show was much more enticing pre-jail (but I still love her). So without further adieu here are my favorite television shows about food.
